Are you passionate about sustainability and want to make a positive impact?

We are looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to join our Sustainability and Regeneration team. In this exciting and varied new role, you will play a pivotal part in improving sustainability, helping people reduce their carbon emissions, promote energy efficiency, and tackle the climate emergency.

What you’ll be doing

As a Sustainability Coordinator, you will collaborate with the wider Sustainability team to support the day to day delivery of both customer and business-related elements of sustainability, decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects, in support of the organisation’s Sustainability Plan.

You will be responsible for the administration of a wide range of Projects ensuring that documentation is received from contractors and accurately recorded for which good IT skills are a pre-requisite.

Working within our Sustainability Team you will have a wide and varied range of projects to co-ordinate and will also be liaising with many other teams within WDH.  In addition, you will collate and supply statistics to help the Sustainability Team with contractor performance and project management.

You will be the first point of call for Tenant enquires regarding all aspects of the Sustainability Teams’ Portfolio and will have full responsibility for co-ordinating all enquiries from our dedicated e-mail account.

What we’re looking for

You will be an experienced sustainability professional, with an excellent understanding of issues related to sustainability, environmental issues decarbonisation and energy in a housing context. 

You will be self-motivated, a good communicator and have the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders including customers, employees and other key stakeholders as part of the delivery of sustainability, decarbonisation and energy efficiency projects. 

To join our Sustainability and Regeneration team, we’re looking for someone with:

  • a qualification at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework in a relevant subject area;
  • significant experience of providing sustainability advice and support services to stakeholders;
  • previous experience in a similar sustainability role, ideally within the housing or construction sector;
  • ability to work on their own initiative to meet deadlines;
  • good IT skills in the use of reporting tools and Microsoft Office such as Word and Excel; and
  • significant experience of communicating and working effectively in co-operation with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The post holder must hold a valid, UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the Wakefield district and to other locations as required by the business.
