We are looking for someone to join our Planned Works department as a Quantity Surveyor.
What you'll be doing
You will be working in a dynamic and fast paced established commercial and contracts team. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that the projects are delivered and procured to high quality, within timescales and within budget.
Your main duties will include; providing technical end to end process from inception to final completion of building operations, preparation and agreement of final accounts, bill of quantities (BoQ), tender preparation, contract preparation and execution.
You will also be responsible for submitting cost plans with projected cash flows to senior management to ensure financially viable outcomes are achieved for the organisation.
What we're looking for
- a qualification at Level 4 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework within a construction related subject;
- membership of an appropriate professional body is desirable;
- experience of working with a computerised management system including but not limited to Microsoft and electronic procurement systems; and
- must be an accomplished communicator, negotiator, and motivator.
You will need to have a valid UK driving licence with daily access to a vehicle in order to travel throughout the district and to other locations as required by the business.
