Are you a qualified tradesperson who takes pride in the quality of your work, can work safely and has a customer focused approach?

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to work within our Technical Services team.

The Capital Works team are responsible for delivering WDH’s capital reinvestment programme and associated planned property maintenance projects to ensure WDH properties are refurbished and improved in line with set standards, specifications, and requirements. 

The team have their own internal service provider (ISP) workforce and utilise a variety of sub-contractors to complete works within the programme. Much of the work includes the replacement of defective roofs, kitchens and bathrooms, external wall treatments including insulation (to provide more energy efficient homes for customers), rendering as well as grinding and pointing brickwork. Other projects include major environmental works to create off street parking and improve the aesthetic looks of our estates, sustainability initiatives for a more energy efficient portfolio of assets and the renewal of the organisations Independent Living Schemes which provide modern, quality homes with innovative communal living spaces to meet the changing needs of a vulnerable society.

We are looking for individuals who have the experience and technical knowledge for these roles together with the ability to work flexibly as part of a team and to deliver the best possible service to our customers.

As a tradesperson working for WDH you will be focused on ensuring that our homes are safe and also maintained to a standard that you would expect to find in any home.

The Capital Works service is looking for a qualified Plasterer to join our established team and work closely with their respective colleagues to deliver a variety of retrofit construction works to benefit WDH communities and the local area. You will be an energetic, driven and committed individual who can take on a wide range of tasks and complete these to ensure works are completed safely within financial, operational and customer service performance targets.  

Primarily, you will be working within a team of tradespeople completing kitchen, Bathroom, & Wetroom replacement works, supporting the delivery of our capital reinvestment programme. You will utilise your Plastering skills daily and will be expected to multi-skill where required.
