We have an exciting opportunity to join our expanding Cash Wise team, supporting our customers to maximise their income, address problem debt and become more financially confident to enable them to maintain a financially healthy household. We are expanding our team so that we can maintain our high standards of support and address the increasingly challenging financial environment.

What you'll be doing

In this role you will advise and actively assist WDH residents by phone, digitally or through face-to-face support in the home of the customer on financial inclusion matters such as welfare benefit claims and income maximisation. Part of your role will include promoting the service at events and workshops across the district. We also deliver the Healthier Wealthier Wakefield Families programme which includes supporting families who are Wakefield residents not living in WDH properties.

What we’re looking for

To join our Cash Wise team, we’re looking for someone with:

  • a qualification at level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework;
  • evidence of working to deadlines;
  • good understanding and experience of performance management;
  • evidence of working within a financial inclusion or support settings;
  • knowledge of Welfare Reform/Benefits and procedures; and
  • significant experience of communicating and working effectively in co-operation with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

The post holder most also have a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle on demand.
