About the team

Independent Living Team at WDH manages schemes across the district, offering independent living accommodation with support in a safe, secure and clean environment. We are dedicated to improving the quality of life for our customers and promoting their independence. 

What you’ll be doing

  • As our Engagement Coordinator, you will play an important role in supporting our Independent Living team. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing support to all Independent Living Team employees to facilitate and deliver activities for customers living in Independent Living Schemes.
  • Supporting the Independent Living Manager to develop new ways of customer engagement for Independent Living.
  • Providing a link between Independent Living customers and wider tenant involvement activities.
  • Building relationships with internal and external partners to increase engagement activities for Independent Living customers.
  • Promoting customer engagement activities across Independent Living Schemes and promote the Independent Living Service.
  • Monitoring levels of effective social activities across the Independent Living Service and promote best practice.

What we’re looking for

To join our Independent Living Team, we’re looking for someone with:

  • A qualification at Level 3 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework
  • Experience of successful partnership working with other bodies and communities.
  • Experience of resident engagement and promoting services.
  • Experience of delivering successful partnership working, communicating, co-operating and working effectively with other bodies, organisations and communities.  
  • An understanding of how to engage with diverse groups of people.
  • An accomplished communicator, negotiator and motivator.

This post also requires applicants to have a valid UK driving licence and daily access to a vehicle in order to travel throughout the district and to other locations as required by the business.
