Millgarth Bungalows is a purpose-built development of 26 well-appointed bedsits and eight single bedroom bungalows set in open plan gardens. 

Each home is self-contained with modern fitted kitchens and bathroom suites. The properties benefit from double glazing and gas central heating. 

Conveniently located a short bus ride from Pontefract town centre, Millgarth is close to supermarkets, local shops, pubs, clubs, churches, hairdressers, a fish and chip shop, chemists, butcher and a variety of sandwich shops. 

WDH's Care Link emergency contact system is wired into each home ensuring access to assistance 24 hours a day. 

All bungalows and bedsits are fitted with a fire alarm which is tested regularly. 

Local amenities 

There is a newsagent nearby, and a regular bus service runs to Pontefract town centre from the bus stop on Westbourne Road. 

Activities 

Across all our schemes we like to help create a strong sense of community, and we do this by supporting like-minded people to establish a programme of regular activities.  

Some of our schemes enjoy bingo, attend coffee mornings, or take part in other social activities.

Millgarth Bungalows has been designed to accommodate a wide range of people’s needs. As well as handrails, it also has disabled access. 

Support 

At Millgarth Bungalows, support is available when you need it. With an experienced Community Support Worker and our Care Link system installed in every home as standard, residents can live with the peace of mind that in the event of an emergency, support can be summoned immediately. Residents will receive the same service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round from WDH. Residents can also tailor the support they receive to suit them, just speak to your Community Support Worker about what suits you and your lifestyle.
