Falcon Drive Bungalows is a development of 36 well-appointed one-bedroom bungalows. 

Each bungalow is self-contained with a modern fitted kitchens and bathroom suites, with gas, coal or electric central heating and double glazing. 

Conveniently located close to Castleford town centre, Falcon Drive is just a walk or bus ride from supermarkets, local shops, pubs, clubs, churches, hairdressers, a fish and chip shop, chemists, post office and a variety of sandwich shops. 

WDH's Care Link emergency contact system is wired into each home ensuring access to assistance 24 hours a day. 

All bungalows are fitted with a fire alarm which is tested regularly. 

There are open plan gardens around the scheme. 

Local amenities 

There are local shops and a doctors' surgery on Smawthorne Lane, and it's just a short bus ride to the Carlton Lanes Shopping Centre in Castleford from the bus stop on Falcon Drive. 

Activities 

Across all our schemes we like to help create a strong sense of community, and we do this by supporting like-minded people to establish a programme of regular activities.  

Some of our schemes enjoy bingo, attend coffee mornings, or take part in other social activities. 

Accessibility 

Falcon Drive has been designed to accommodate a wide range of people’s needs. As well as handrails, it also has disabled access. 

Support 

At Falcon Drive support is available when you need it. With an experienced Community Support Worker and our Care Link system installed in every home as standard, residents can live with the peace of mind that in the event of an emergency, support can be summoned immediately. Residents will receive the same service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, all year round from WDH. Residents can also tailor the support they receive to suit them, just speak to your Community Support Worker about what suits you and your lifestyle.
