Essential Conditions
Anyone wishing to be considered for an independent living scheme allocation must be a member of Homesearch and have had an Independent Living Assessment.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants to WDH’s independent living schemes must be:
- in housing need
- considered vulnerable due to age, health, welfare or support needs
- receiving a package of care prior to any allocation being made, where such support is required
- able to manage within the scheme without being a risk to self or others
- no threat of physical violence, nuisance or antisocial behaviour to others within the scheme.
Appeals
Any appeals on decisions made at the time of assessment should be made in writing to the Independent Living Manager, Merefield House, whistler Drive, Castleford WF10 5HX.
