We’re aware that some customers have been contacted by an unknown person claiming to be from WDH.
During these calls, our customers have been asked if they have any outstanding repairs or work they are not happy with, but the caller has refused to confirm their identity. During a genuine call from WDH, we will always be happy to confirm our company name and department, as well as the name of the colleague calling.
Any WDH colleague visiting your home, or contractor working on our behalf, will be happy to show you their proof of identity and you should always ask to see it if you have any doubts. We don’t mind you calling us to verify that we are who we say we are.
Luckily, the customers who have called us to warn us about the scam have spotted the signs, so please be extra vigilant.
If you are the victim of a scam or fraudulent activity, you should report this to Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040 or through their website, or contact your local trading standards team.
Be vigilant, always ask for ID, and call us if you’re not sure.
