Hair stylist Sheree started her business 18 years ago with a love for hairdressing and making her customers feel great about themselves. That’s why she called her salon Gorgeous.
As her business grew, Sheree realised she needed a bigger space and had dreams of providing more services for her customers.
After seeing an advert for one of our commercial units in Ossett, Sheree enquired about the unit and worked with Asia Khaliq, Property Management Officer, to get started. She had a vision for the kind of salon she wanted to create and we supported her with a rent incentive whilst she renovated the unit into a new stylish space. Sheree replaced the black rubber floor, painted a pink marble effect wall and installed new furniture to create a luxurious experience for her customers.
Since opening in November 2024, Sheree and her fellow hair stylist Kerry, who has worked at Gorgeous for 16 years, have continued to grow their client bases. To provide more options for her customers, Sheree has partnered with two small businesses – beauty therapist, Davina, and nail artist, Chey - to work in rooms in the salon so customers can have a full pamper day all in one place.
Sheree said: “It has been crazy how busy we have been. We’ve really appreciated previous customers being loyal and coming to our new location and the local community for checking us out! Not only has this space been great for me it has been nice to see two other small businesses flourish as well.”
Now that Sheree has settled into her new salon she is looking forward to the future. She said: “I’m excited to continue to grow. I’m looking to build my team to provide more evening and weekend appointments and more services my customers are looking for. I absolutely love what I do, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.”
