Care Link is going digital!

Test

From Wednesday 17 July 2024, Care Link will turn on its new digital system for the first time at the beginning of a new era for the award-winning telecare service.

We’re proud to help over 15,000 people across the Wakefield area live independently with confidence. This latest move will make sure we can continue to do that long into the future.

BT is aiming to move all landline services to digital by the end of 2027 and we’re getting ahead of the curve. By turning on our digital services now, Care Link is preparing for this change well in advance and testing of the system has been ongoing for a number of months.

Our team has been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that there will be no disruption to our customers during the switch-on. Our Care Link customers don’t have to do anything when the new digital system turns on.

Customers who use analogue lines for their Care Link services will hear more from us in the near future about adapting their equipment ready for a digital switchover. The measures we have put in place mean that nobody should experience any interruptions in their Care Link service while this takes place.

You can find out more information about the national switch to digital landlines and why it is happening on the BT website here: www.bt.com/about/all-ip
