In 2023, we introduced our Say Thank You initiative for employees to send appreciation and recognition to colleagues. Each month all nominations go into a draw and two individual winners, and one team winner, are picked and receive prizes.
Last year, a new way to reward teams was launched and now each quarter, the team nominations are sent to our senior leaders to decide on overall winners. The overall team winners receive a surprise and a visit from our Chief Executive, Martyn Shaw, and the area’s director.
The first quarter saw three teams chosen. Each team enjoyed some delicious food provided by the Caring Kitchen and was presented with a certificate from Martyn Shaw.
Our winners were:
The Painting Team - nominated by Michelle Johnson
“Could you please pass my thanks on again to Andy and the team for a great job done on the second floor at Merefield House. Nothing was too much trouble when asked. Thank you, again great team and could I pass on my thanks to Andy Walker (Site Supervisor) and the Painting Team for the work they have done on Clifford Avenue and Clifford View, painting the railings and gates. The team have done a great job, and it looks much better.”
Facilities Team - nominated by Leanne Brown
“I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for organising our event. We felt like ‘royalty’ as we were very well looked after. Your facilities staff were amazing, and everyone commented on the fantastic venue and the staff and Jayne Tree, I would just like to say the biggest THANK YOU to you all for your amazing support, I really could not deliver what I do without your incredible support and for that I’m truly grateful. From all the pre planning meetings to the run up, to the day your support was just amazing.”
Pay and Analytics Team - nominated by Janine Hollingsworth
“All their work with processing increments, completing the pay award and a host of other year end/new year payroll activities to ensure that colleagues get paid accurately and on time. This is coupled with a system upgrade and a move to a new payroll solution all happening in the same period. The team are very humble and just get on with it so it would be lovely to recognise this amazing team effort.”
Martyn said: “All our teams do an incredible job day in and day out, but I was particularly honoured to thank these teams in person for the great work they’ve done. Congratulations to the worthy winners on being recognised for going above and beyond to help colleagues, this reward is thoroughly well deserved.”
A huge well done to these teams and to everyone who was nominated in 2024!
