Can you help me find a job?

Support we offer to help you find Employment or Training

We employ skilled Community Employment Advisors who provide free help and support to tenants and Homesearch applicants to find work, a better job, a training opportunity help to become self-employed or to develop your own business.. 

Our skilled advisors work with you to identify what steps you might need to be take to progress towards your employment goals.  Examples of support available includes: help to search for jobs, assistance with e-mail and online applications, guidance on how to write a CV or cover letter, interview skills and tips, and help to find the right training course or volunteer opportunity.  We can also help you set up your own business, or help your existing business to grow.

We can also offer support to complete an application for the WDH Foundation Grant scheme.  This is a non-repayable grant of up to £1500 to get people into work, boost their skills, as well as putting you forward for our Training for Employment programme which offers up to 12 months paid work for adults who are unemployed, 19 yrs+ and living within a WDH property.  For more information about the programme and how to apply please visit our Training for Employment web page.

Working with our other services, such as Cash Wise or Wellbeing caseworkers, we are able to make sure everyone gets the best support possible.
