Victim Support is the national charity that offers free confidential support to victims of crime, witnesses, their family, friends and anyone else affected. This comes in the form of one to one emotional support, practical help and signposting to other organisations.
Victim Support Case Workers in the Wakefield District also do Community Engagement, which includes giving talks about the service and distributing information across the community reaching out to people that may have been affected by Crime, including Hate Crime or Anti-Social Behaviour whether the crime has been reported to Police or not.
The team can deliver presentations and hold stalls of information for organisations who wish to know more about the service to staff, clients, parents or students.
