WDH’s Homebuilder team helping people get on the property ladder

WDH’s Homebuilder team is working hard to deliver five new homes in Outwood.

The development on Bevin Close, is a mixture of two and three bed homes with some for rent and some for sale through Shared Ownership. Shared Ownership is a great way for people to get on the property ladder, for more information visit www.wdh.co.uk/AvailableProperties/SharedOwnership/ for more information.

Bevin Close is part of the national Considerate Constructor Scheme which is designed to improve the image of construction and reward teams who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that residents and other stakeholders are not inconvenienced by building work. The scheme encourages teams to try new and innovative measures to keep residents happy.

Feedback from local residents about Bevin Close has been very positive following the first meet and greet session in January. Residents are pleased that the site is being developed as it previously attracted anti-social behaviour.

Considerate Constructor recently conducted the first site visit to Bevin Close and rated the Homebuilder Team 39 out of 50, demonstrating that they are going over and above what is required in terms of site safety and interaction with the local community.

Dean Hunter, WDH’s Site Manager, said: “We started working on the site at the end of October and it is all going really well; we are on schedule and on budget.  We have also had a 100% pass rate  for our last two health and safety inspections which is a fantastic achievement.

WDH’s new build schemes are a great opportunity for our apprentices to get more experience and they really enjoy being part of the team on site.”
