We are now a Community Benefit Society10 April 2017

Our Tenant Satisfaction Survey is underway10 April 2017

Published 10 April 2017
Our Tenant Satisfaction Survey has started and will end on Friday 12 May. Customer experience specialists, TLF, are calling a representative sample of tenants to gather your views on the service you receive from us.  If you do receive a call from TLF, please be assured that we have employed them to complete the survey on our behalf. This ensures that your feedback is anonymous if you wish. We carry out these surveys twice a year and use your feedback to make improvements to our services. Since the last survey was carried out in November 2016, we have been working hard to improve:   how easy we are to deal with; how good we are at keeping the promises and commitments we make;  the repairs service experience; and the way we manage nuisance and antisocial behaviour.  Thank you for your feedback and support.

WDH is making life easier with Get Online Week

Published 14 October 2016

WDH is coming to the heart of Wakefield’s communities as part of Get Online Week (17-21 October), aiming to help even more people use the internet so they can enjoy a better quality of life.

The internet can make life easier in ways both big and small – and using it can be much simpler than people think.  From staying healthy or finding work, to saving money and having fun, there are lots of ways people can benefit from being online.

WDH’s Digital Angels are celebrating Get Online Week and visiting different locations across the district throughout the week to help people get started.

If you have a friend or family member who has never used a computer or tablet before, or if you need some pointers to make the most of being online, our Get Online Week events might be the answer.

Come along and visit our Mobile Hub for help to get online or with any other enquiries at the following locations:

Monday 17 October

Madeley Road, Havercroft from 1.30 pm to  3.30 pm.

Tuesday 18 October

Ken Churchill Drive, Manorfields, Horbury from 10 am to 12 noon.

Brooklands Road, Walton from  2.00 pm to 4.00 pm.

Smirthwaite View, Normanton from  6.00 pm to 8.00 pm.

Friday 21 October

Parklands, Off Lisheen Avenue, Castleford from 10.00 am to 12 noon.

You can also get help by visiting one of our Service Access Points throughout the week in:

•Castleford - 23 Carlton Street, Castleford, WF10 1BG

•Airedale - Stansfield Road, Airedale, WF10 3BY

•Pontefract -1 Horsefair, Pontefract, WF8 1PE

•South Elmsall - Exchange Street, South Elmsall, WF9 2RD

•Wakefield - WDH Hub - 2 Bull Ring, Wakefield, WF1 1HA

Our OneCALL Advisors can also help with any general enquiries you may have.

Gerard Maguire, WDH’s Customer Excellence Manager, says:  “It doesn’t matter if you’ve never even touched a computer before or if you already know a bit - this is your chance to give computers and the internet a go.  It’s fun, it’s free, and it could change how you do your favourite things - and your everyday chores - forever! Come along to one of our events and see what you could do with technology, and what technology could do for you.”

For more information or to arrange a one-to-one discussion with one of our Digital Angels, contact our Engagement Team on 0345 8 507 507.
