Tracy Morgan – saves over 609kg of clothes from the landfill

Tracy Morgan was named your Community Champion 2021 at our 10th Love Where You Live Awards on Friday, 12 November.

Tracy created and now runs the Normanton School Uniform Exchange in her free time, which provides free, good quality, secondhand school uniform for the local community. Since the Uniform Exchange was set up almost a year ago, she has supported over 590 families by providing over 3,000 items of clothing and saving over 609kg of clothes from landfill.

When we caught up with her about her win, she said: “I was delighted to be nominated and totally overwhelmed to have won the Community Champion of the Year award, particularly as I was up against some very worthy contenders. It means so much to me to receive this recognition. Half of the winnings will go back into the Exchange as we need some plastic storage boxes, and the other will be used for a family day out!"
