Ossett War Memorial Community Centre is benefitting from upgraded catering equipment thanks to a WDH Community Grant worth over £1000.
The volunteers at the community centre wanted to expand and enable more people to attend their groups. The catering equipment will allow the centre to offer a varied selection of cooked meals to a larger group of people.
June Senior, Chair of the Centre Management Committee said: “Being able to apply for a grant that can be spent on all the essentials for our café has been really helpful in improving the services we offer.”
Natalie Grinsill, WDH’s Tenant Involvement Officer, attended the cheque presentation along with a member of the North West Neighbourhood Panel. She said: “The aim of the WDH Community Grant scheme is to allow groups to fund initiatives and projects that will support and improve lives of those living in our communities.”
