Lucy is the Cash Wise Christmas Winner!

Published 28 November 2014

The winner of the Cash Wise Christmas Dinner competition has been revealed.

Lucy Rowlinson, from Horsefair in Pontefract, was one of three tenants who guessed £8.04 – just a penny away from the correct answer of £8.03 – and her name was the first one to be drawn out of the hat.

She was presented with her prize, an Amazon Kindle, at home on Friday morning.

A delighted Lucy said: “I couldn’t believe when I got the call to say I’d won. I had done a bit of research into it but you don’t think you’re going to win.

“When I started looking into it I was really surprised at how little it can cost to buy a Christmas Dinner.”

The next chance to win starts on Monday, when tenants can win a prize every day throughout December as part of an advent calendar competition.
