Good Neighbour 2014: Juanita Allen

Published 8 October 2014

Juanita Allen won the Good Neighbour category in our 2014 Love Where You Live Awards.

She has worked hard to support community groups in Ossett and despite having a full-time job she chairs a tenants’ and residents’ association in the town and a youth club. She helped to raise the profiles of both organisations by supporting their stalls at Ossett Gala in July.

Her community involvement also includes running weekly bingo sessions.

Juanita said: “Although it was me up there on the stage collecting the award I was really collecting it on behalf of the two groups I work with. It’s such a team effort and I have support from lots of different people, and I’d like to thank them all for voting for me to win.”
