WDH has partnered with home builder Simple Life and Vistry Partnerships to build 140 two and three bedroom, eco-friendly properties in Normanton, West Yorkshire.
The £21m development, named Ashfield Park, is housed on a former railway storage yard, providing a new lease of life to a previously derelict area, which has been vacant for many years.
The Ashfield Park development will provide 28 properties for sale with Shared Ownership from WDH with another five available for affordable rent through Homesearch. Along with another 72 homes exclusively for rent through Simple Life. Vistry Partnerships will offer 35 homes for open market sale through the Linden Homes brand. These are popular with home buyers, with many already sold before completion.
Shared ownership is a national scheme that helps people to buy their dream home. Homebuyers can start by buying between 50% and 75% of their new home and paying an affordable rent on the rest. They can then buy more when they can. This means a smaller deposit, smaller mortgage repayments and the flexibility to increase their shares whenever they’re ready.
The development expected to complete later this year and WDH will receive their first properties by April 2022.
