WDH Schools Solutions have been making major improvements to three schools within the Pontefract Academies Trust over the school holidays.
Working at The King’s School, Carleton Community High School and De Lacy Primary School, renovations include replacing external windows and external doors to various blocks, replacing internal fire doors, electrical alterations and redecoration.
The work will be completed in just five weeks to make sure the schools can re-open in time for the new school year.
John Osborne, Director, WDH Schools Solutions said: “We are delighted to be a part of this improvement project with the Pontefract Academies Trust. The refurbishment works are now well underway. I’m looking forward to seeing the completed works and I’m sure that they will support an improved learning environment for the forthcoming academic year."
Debbie Samwell, Director of Finance Business and Operations for Pontefract Academies Trust, said: “We believe that well maintained and attractive school environments have a positive impact on student engagement and achievement. WDH Schools Solutions have worked on a number of refurbishment projects for the Trust over recent years and have consistently completed work on time, within budget and to high standards. The refurbishment works during this summer are progressing well and we are looking forward to the new academic year when our students will see the transformation which has taken place.”
