What you’ll be doing:

An exciting opportunity for someone to join our Care Link Response team, delivering high quality services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, helping our customers to live independently and safely in the community.

A multi-skilled, varied role, working both in the office environment and in the community, the Care Link Officers primarily respond to emergency calls such as falls, assisting customers using our specialised lifting equipment.

You will also be required to operate a computerised calls handling system, answering and triaging calls from customers. You will liaise with a range of WDH employees, Wakefield Council or other appropriate agencies to ensure an effective response to alarm calls and undertake clerical and administrative duties where necessary.

What we’re looking for:

• a qualification at level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications Framework;
• experience of dealing with older or vulnerable people;
• excellent customer service and communication skills;
• ability to work on own initiative dealing with a variety of issues, sometimes in emergency situations; and
• IT skills with the ability to use a variety of PC applications.

This post is subject to an application for a Disclosure Barring Service check with WDH. The post holder will also be required to work rotating shifts which include nights, weekends and bank holidays.
