What you’ll be doing:

Are you a bricklayer who takes pride in their work, delivers high standards, has the ability to complete a variety of associated multi trade tasks, and wants to use their skills to influence the look and feel of WDH communities? If so, this role could be for you!

We’re looking to recruit a bricklayer to carry out a wide range of bricklaying activities on all types of company owned properties, and support the organisation deliver construction projects as part of its 30 year capital reinvestment programme.

In this role you will promote the service in a manner consistent with the organisations Customer Charter, ensuring high levels of customer care and a fantastic customer experience for our residents receiving works.

You will be self-motivated to achieve project milestones, and work in accordance with the organisations Health and Safety procedures, as part of a team. You may also undertake the role of an apprentice mentor and act as a role model for other trade operatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • a qualification at Level 2 of the Regulated Qualifications framework in a relevant subject area, for example an NVQ Level 2 in bricklaying and a valid CSCS;
  • excellent communications skills;
  • experience of programming and timescales with regards to other trades;
  • good organisation skills with the ability to plan and organise own work;
  • the ability to deliver a quality, value for money service and work flexibly in terms of hours of work to suit the needs of the business and our customers;
  • experience working in a customer facing environment and in people’s homes; and
  • a current, valid UK driving license is also an essential requirement of the role.

The core hours of the role are 37 hours, 8am – 4pm Monday to Friday. However, you may be required to work flexibly between 8am and 8pm (including some weekend working). A current, valid UK driving license is also an essential requirement of the role.
