As Care and Health Manager you will be responsible for the strategic development of services provided to people who require housing and wellbeing support in the district. You will also lead on the development of partnership arrangements which support the overall strategic direction of the service. You will lead a large dispersed team with responsibility for the development and delivery of Care and Health Services this includes the provision of support services and telecare services to older people and those requiring additional housing and wellbeing support, these services operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
You will ensure that all services provided within Care and Health are delivered in line with our customer requirements, you will deliver these to a high quality enabling customers to be fully engaged.

Reporting directly to the Service Director Housing and Health, your day to day responsibilities will include, leading the Care and Health team in relation to strategic development, operational services, policy and procedures, service development, training and staff development, partnership working and customer and stakeholder engagement. You will represent WDH at key partnership meetings, have management of significant revenue budgets which support the delivery of services and ensure that our Independent Living homes are safe and modern.
