We are looking for someone to join our Landscape Team. In this role you will assist in the management, maintenance, and development of quality environmental landscapes within WDH neighbourhoods.

In this role you will support the Landscape Manager in delivering effective landscape services and assist employees in the implementation process. You will also be responsible for monitoring, costing and planning a wide range of environmental initiatives or projects that have a positive impact on the WDH landscape.

You will also plan and control tree condition inspections working closely with WDH tree surveyors and ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the appropriate health and safety requirements, support the performance management of the WDH Landscape Maintenance contract and the Business Planning Officer (Community Safety) in the reporting of landscape services performance through appropriate systems and scorecarding as required.

Applicants will have:

  • 3 qualifications at Level 2 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework such as GCSEs (3 or more at grades A-C), Award, Certificate or Diploma at level 2 or equivalent including Maths and English.
  • Significant experience of working in a landscape management environment with Project / Contract Management experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety Legislation and safe working practices within landscape management.
  • Experience of meeting targets and responding to external changes.
  • A demonstrable understanding of service delivery in a customer focused environment, and an understanding of the concept of customer care.
  • Good interpersonal skills, especially listening, negotiating and influencing.

Applicants will also need a valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle on a daily basis in order to travel throughout the district as required by the business.
