What will you be doing?
Under supervision, you will carry out all aspects of tree care to ensure that WDH trees remain in a safe and healthy condition. Working both from the ground and within the tree canopy using specialised equipment in order to maintain WDH trees. You will be working alongside a relatively new dynamic team with the potential to develop your career with the goal of being a tree climber. High quality standards are adopted along with ensuring safe working practice and to protect personal and public safety at all times.
What training do you get?
As part of our apprenticeship programme you will receive up to four years of training and gain a nationally recognised Level 2 and/or Level 3 qualification at Askham Bryant in York. Our apprenticeship programme also offers further opportunities of personal and professional development and an insight into wider business operations.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about nature, like working outdoors, team players, good problem solvers who demonstrate a positive attitude and are committed to delivering excellent customer care.
Applicants will have achieved, or be predicted to achieve, up to five GCSE’s or equivalent (grade 9 - 4/A*- C) including Maths, English and a Science.
