Homesearch Officer – Fixed term up to 11 months (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for someone to join our Homesearch team. You will take a key role in the delivery of the allocations, voids and new tenancy management service from initial Homesearch application to completion of the probationary tenancy period.

In this role you will also take responsibility for carrying out the pre tenancy processes; selection process; determining works required to a property to complete the allocation; identifying rechargeable work and raising invoices; accompanied viewings and managing all new tenants during the probationary period.

Applicants will have:

  • five qualifications at Level 2 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework, such as GCSEs grades A-C, Award, Certificate or Diploma at level 2 or equivalent;
  • effective time management and organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines;
  • experience in an appropriate office administration or housing related field;
  • an understanding of and the ability to apply the appropriate legislation, policies and procedures for the delivery of the services within WDH;
  • the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the principles of performance management, and
  • evidence of a customer focused approach to service users.

This post also requires applicants to hold a current, valid UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the district. You will be required to work some evenings and weekends.
