We are looking for a number of individuals to join our Neighbourhoods Team in the role of Estate Officers (Neighbourhoods or Casework).

In these roles you will manage communities and tenancies to create sustainable communities in neighbourhoods where people want to live and stay. Your role as an:

Estate Officer – Casework will require you to take a proactive approach where tenancy breaches are identified providing relevant support through the delivery of excellent customer service. You will effectively manage and monitor caseloads working with key partners, internally and externally.

Estate Officer – Neighbourhoods you will take a pro active approach dealing with planned, cyclical, environment and tenancy management issues. You will create high quality environmental standards throughout our communities.

Both roles will require you to have a holistic approach to tenancy management issues and help maintain sustainable tenancies.

A key part of these roles will also be to promote the service at all times in a manner consistent with the Team Plan, Customer Charter Standards, legal and regulatory requirements.

Applicants will have:

  • three qualifications at Level 2 of the Qualification and Credit Framework;
  • the ability to solve complex problems to achieve a positive outcome;
  • relevant and significant housing experience;
  • an understanding of the issues affecting individual WDH tenants and the wider community;
  • the ability to work in pressurised situations and be committed to delivering high levels of performance to meet agreed targets, standards and deadlines in performance orientated culture; and
  • evidence of a customer focused approach to service users and evidence of excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills with stakeholders and managers.

This post also requires applicants to hold a current, valid UK driving licence with the ability to travel throughout the district on a daily basis. You will also need to be available to attend out of hours meetings and participate in out of hours call out and emergency planning procedures.
