WDH is entering a period of transformation and change to maintain our position as an industry leader and overcome the challenges facing the housing sector.

We are looking to reshape our business, focusing on digital performance and commercial enterprise. As a result, we are looking for high performing individuals to lead us through the change.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Investment team to shape the strategic direction of WDHs Health, Safety and Compliance function. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring WDH exceeds all its compliance requirements in relation to domestic and commercial property.

You will also provide the necessary framework so that managers and employees within the organisation can take responsibility, within the health, safety and regulatory compliance legislation, for the work they undertake.

Successful applicants will have:

  • a health and safety related qualification at Level 6 of the framework for Higher Education such as a first degree, Award, Certificate or Diploma at Level 6 or equivalent;
  • chartered membership of the Institute of Occupational Health and Safety (CMIOSH);
  • a diploma in Management Studies Level 7 or willing to work towards this;
  • experience of developing organisational health and safety policies and procedures;
  • knowledge of gas, electrical, fire, asbestos and legionella policies and procedures;
  • significant leadership and line management experience with the ability to motivate and encourage teams to achieve targets and deadlines;
  • knowledge of CDM regulations and construction related issues; and
  • strong advisory and problem solving skills.
