We are looking for someone to join our busy Debt Team.

Reporting to the Debt Recovery Manager, you will assist in ensuring that an effective and efficient service is provided across the district in respect of the control and recovery of all debts to WDH.

In this role you will also provide support, assistance and direction to housing employees across the district and assist in the delivery of a comprehensive customer focused service to all users.

Applicants will have:

  • five qualifications at Level 2 of the Qualifications and Credit Framework, such as GCSEs grades A-C, Award, Certificate or Diploma at Level 2 of equivalent;
  • the ability to undertake routine tasks under pressure and meet deadlines;
  • experience of delivering customer focused services in a variety of settings;
  • excellent communication skills and clear written and verbal skills;
  • recent and significant experience of working with a range of agencies including statutory and voluntary agencies; and
  • relevant experience to enable you to undertake the job as detailed in the job description.

The role also requires you to have a valid UK driving license and the ability to travel throughout the district and to other locations as required on a daily basis. You will also be required to work outside normal office hours, which will include a minimum of one evening per week and carry out visits on Saturdays in line with business requirements.
